91/365 Dive, dive, DiVe!

Today was an amazing day. I went with a group of photographers called PhotoWalkingUtah to the Living Planet Aquarium in Sandy, UT. Not only was it amazing to start with, but then I was chosen to go behind the scenes to make some photographs! I was one of 4 people that had this opportunity and I have to say it was an amazing experience. Todays photo is one of my favorites from the day, but there are many more that I love too. Check them out at http://bit.ly/H9P8bV

69/365 †

While on a walk today, waiting for the radiator in my car to be replaced, I came across this Catholic Church. I love the architecture and the spotted (blue and red) dome. This isn’t a common thing to see here in Utah so I took the opportunity to make this photograph.

Day 112 : Panning

While playing with my son and his cars I took the opportunity to practice panning. It is difficult and will require more practice, but the two photos are okay for now.

Day 111 : Blue Glow

Look familiar? Status lights are everywhere these days. When a room is totally dark they can be very distracting, especially when you are trying to pay attention to a movie.

Day 110 : RAD Kids

Today we had the pleasure of attending a demonstration of what our 2nd grader has been learning in the self defense class RAD Kids. It was cool to see all the kids do so well and to empower them to defend themselves if a situation justifies it. Great Job guys!

Day 109 : Colored

Ever wonder why some bottles like extra virgin olive oil are a dark color? It has to do with the oil being sensitive to light and the darker glass helps it last longer. To prolong how long your olive oil stays fresh keep it in you pantry away from heat and light. I think this is interesting and have alway wondered about the dark bottles.

Day 108 : Flower Patch

I take no credit for these flowers as they are not mine, but I love them just the same.

Day 107 : Fluff and stuff

Sporadic spring weather sometimes has its perks.

Day 106 : Birthday wishes

I’d like to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes on Twitter and on Facebook. It was a great day and here is a photo of the candle a-top the homemade pineapple upside down cake we enjoyed. Thanks goes to my wife also who made this amazing cake for me!

Day 105 : Springtime, Really?

Could it be that Spring is finally here? Probably not with all the cold weather but don’t tell the trees that.

Day 104 : CupCakes

Day 103 : Sweet treats

Here is s photo of some sweet treats that my wife received from Matilda Jane Clothing. Love the cut outs in the lid.

Day 102 : Water?

Today we saw for the first time in nearly five years water it what we usually call the dry creek that runs just behind our house. Crazy and a little eery hearing water running all the time when outdoors when we aren’t used to it.

Day 101 : Prizes

Here are the prizes we gave away from our Facebook Spring Giveaway Extravaganza. It was so fun and we are so glad we organized this giveaway with local businesses. They were generous and amazing to work with.

Day 100! – Soaring

Yay! 100 days done!

I wish I could say that this photo was representative of how my 365 project is going but alas it is not soaring by. Hopefully it will get easier to be more creative every day, hence one of the goals for doing this project in the first place.

Day 99 : Blow It Up

While at our booth at the Eagle Mountain Street Fair my son got some balloon blowing practice in. He had so much fun seeing how far the balloon could propel itself after he blew it up. Ah the little joys in life huh?

Day 98 : I got nothin’

Too much to do today so this is all I have. Nothin’ to see here, move along.

Day 97 : War Paint

Ok so not really war paint but we did go to Dippidee in American Fork for their Spring Break activities. Face paining, pin the cherry on the cupcake, and coloring fun. It was fun for the kids and yummy for all!

Day 96 : Taste the rainbow

While at the mall my son had to spend the quarter that he found in the park yesterday so he had a little skittles treat. The reason he is so sad can only be because Dad was taking his photo once again, sheesh.

Day 95 : Let’s Roll!

While at a park spending some time playing with and doing a little geocaching with my kids we saw this fire engine racing by. I have been wanting to practice my panning skills so here you go. Wish there wasn’t so much stuff between me and the engine, but for a split second decision and shot I think it is ok.

Day 94 : Helping Hands

I love that my sons are getting old enough to be helpful and not just in the way. Here my oldest is helping me make bread.

Day 92 : Doctor, doctor, give me the news…

My son’s latest and last visit (I hope) after his Adnoids were removed and tubes put in. The news was that he is now healthy and good! Finally

Day 91 : Beauty

Once again my wife was willing to model for me as I tested some new outdoor lighting scenarios and I came up with this which I am very happy with.
