Day 79 : Aspiring Photographer
This is my 8 year old as an aspiring photographer. He used his K’Nex toys to make the bike and the camera that he is holding. He then got the idea for this photo shoot and said he could see what the final photo would look like in his head. So we went to the studio and this photo was born from his pre-visualization. So proud!
Day 76 : My Model
Here is my little model helping me try out our newest backdrop. What a handsome boy (he does need a haircut though)
Day 74 : Photowalking Utah
Today’s photo was taken at a Photowalking Utah Studio Lighting event. This photo was my favorite from the day. This is a great event and my favorite out of all of the PhotowalkingUT events. If you want to learn more about studio lighting and photography this is a great group to get involved with. See more here http://photowalkingutah.com
Day 72 : Eagle Scout
Today’s photo is one I made for a friend and neighbor for their sons Court of Honor announcements to get his Eagle Scout Award. Congratulations!
Day 66 : I am Batman!
Another visit to the Dr. for my son. This was taken in the waiting room as he was crawling all over me. This was great way to start a day of what became a not so great verdict on what he needs, surgery. i can’t complain too much though as it is minor, but still it was hard to hear when we were caught so off guard.
Notice he is wearing his home made Batman cape, and as a super hero he did amazingly well with all the tests that they did on him. So proud!
Day 64 : Eye spy with my little eye…
My kids love to play I spy. On our latest building session with Mega Blocks we created the perfect spy glass, or at least my 4 year old thought so.
I really like the bokeh in this photo. It came out just as I had envisioned it even though it was challenging to keep my little subject in the center (he had ants in his pants) and at the same time lining it up with my camera.
Day 62 : Sucker!
After getting some cool old fashioned suckers at a candy store I have to photograph one of them. Thank goodness for birthday money from Grandma!
Day 60 : Baby Cecelia
Here is one of my cute nieces that we did an impromptu photo shoot of when they came to visit us. Love her eyes! Oh and the hand made outfit that her mom made her is great too!
Day 58 : Birthday Boy!
Here is my son on his 4th birthday. Click the link below for more photos and info.

Day 57 : Sweet Maggie
This is our sweet Maggie. She likes her friend Jedi which is a Schnauzer so much that she wanted a haircut like him even though she is a Yorkie. She looks so much smaller and cute but when she stands her ears up watch out ’cause they aren’t little Schnauzer ears, they look huge! She is so cute and I took some photos with her ears up but I like this photo the best. Isn’t she sweet.
Here is my son again after he talked me into making a new photo of him while jumping. Talk about crazy hair!
Day 56 : Play Time!
My kids wanted to have some action shots taken while they ran and jumped. Here they are, mid-air.

I love his hair in this one, so crazy!
And here they are jumping into each other right before they both crashed on the ground. Obviously they had a blast and wanted to do it again for days after these were taken.
Day 45 : The Pianist
My niece Ella from Las Vegas was my hand model for this photo and she was great. I love the depth of field in this photo and converted it to black and white for effect.
Day 43 : Self Portrait
I thought it was about time for a new self portrait so here it is. This is a profile photo but instead of making my face completely black I wanted just a touch of light in my eye to make it more interesting. Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by!
Day 36 : Bobcat
My son earned his Bobcat award in the Cub Scouts today. This photo shows the face paint as part of the ceremony.
Day 35 : Jazz Reading
Our Jazz reader. This week he had the honor of wearing a Jazz jersey for reading the most for his grade. Well done buddy boy!
