122/365 A Taste of Hawaii
One of my wife’s friends was kind enough to send us a few items from Hawaii. Luckily my wife was kind enough to share these Milk Chocolate Mountains with me

120/365 Tea Time
Today’s selection of tea was Youthberry Wild Orange Blossom Tea Blend from Teavana. Delicious!

118/365 Fro≠en
Here is one of my kids favorite summer treats. Frozen flavored water aka a Popsicle. Cold–Fruity–Delicious!

102/365 Aw Nuts
Although I’m allergic to Walnuts I think they are pretty interesting looking. They are pretty gnarly little dudes after all.

98/365 THE bunny visits
The Easter Bunny is amazing and always hides jelly beans around our house for our kids to run around and find/collect. This is amazing because Mr. Bunny used to do the same thing when I was growing up and I remember how much fun it was to try and find where he had hid the jelly beans. It was always a big laugh when we wouldn’t find all the beans and months later come across another one, what a nice, hard, little surprise.

83/365 Noodle
I went to one of our favorite stores to stock up on whole wheat pasta today. Bulk food at Winco is the way to go. Yummy!

62/365 A little bubbly
I love how the bubbles in this drink are only collecting on the straw and not the glass. I guess the glass is too smooth?

49/365 Spicy
We ate at a new restaurant tonight that had some of the most amazing salsa and hot sauce (and food). It is a local joint called Los 2 Amigos. Muy bien!

38/365 Father & Sons
My son’s Cub Scout pack is having their Blue and Gold Banquet and asked each Father & Son to bake a cake for it. Here is our themed “Leap Into Scouting” cake. It was a lot of fun and from what my boys told me it was very yummy. Shawn made the oragami all by himself and we all baked and decorated the cake. My wife was strictly forbidden from helping.

Here is one extra photo of my boys waiting and watching as the cake batter is mixed.

36/365 Super Bowl
Today’s photo is from Super Bowl Sunday! Here ia a glimpse of what delicious snacks we ate. These are “Buffalo Tofu Bites” and they are delicious. This is the first time we have made them and we were glad we did. If you are Vegan or just want to try something new, check them out at http://www.mightyvegan.com/2011/03/09/buffalo-tofu-bites/
Bon Appetite!

34/365 Serendipity
Today’s photo is courtesy of my wife, Becky Jeide. Matilda Jane Clothing just released a new clothing line and my wife is one of only two “Trunk Keepers” that sell it in Utah. She gave attendees of her premier show these little treats. The clothing line is called Serendipity, hence the name on the bags. We love how these cloths photograph and how unique they are. Photos of the clothing will come to this blog in time, but take a look here if you want to see the cloths now.

19/365 What diet?
The star of the show today is…. (pause for effect)…. a cupcake! This was my son’s cupcake and I am proud to say that I didn’t have even a bite of it. This cupcake by the way is from Dippidee in American Fork.

9/365 Couscous
Healthy eating at its finest. This is a delicious plate of Couscous Confetti that we ate for the first time tonight. Love all the colors of the veggies in it.

5/365 Birthday Wishes
Today we celebrated my oldest sons 9th birthday! It was a fun day for him and I am glad and relieved. I am very proud of Shawn and all that he does and accomplishes and I had hoped to make this day one he would remember.
Here is a photo of Becky lighting the candle on the little cake that she had made from Dippidee in American Fork. Shawn chose a key lime cake with raspberry filling and key lime frosting. It was moist and so delicious.

Day 109 : Colored
Ever wonder why some bottles like extra virgin olive oil are a dark color? It has to do with the oil being sensitive to light and the darker glass helps it last longer. To prolong how long your olive oil stays fresh keep it in you pantry away from heat and light. I think this is interesting and have alway wondered about the dark bottles.
Day 106 : Birthday wishes
I’d like to thank everyone for the Birthday wishes on Twitter and on Facebook. It was a great day and here is a photo of the candle a-top the homemade pineapple upside down cake we enjoyed. Thanks goes to my wife also who made this amazing cake for me!
Day 103 : Sweet treats
Here is s photo of some sweet treats that my wife received from Matilda Jane Clothing. Love the cut outs in the lid.
Day 96 : Taste the rainbow
While at the mall my son had to spend the quarter that he found in the park yesterday so he had a little skittles treat. The reason he is so sad can only be because Dad was taking his photo once again, sheesh.
