Today’s photo was taken at a Photowalking Utah Studio Lighting event. This photo was my favorite from the day. This is a great event and my favorite out of all of the PhotowalkingUT events. If you want to learn more about studio lighting and photography this is a great group to get involved with. See more here http://photowalkingutah.com
Tonight was date night with my wife and we took the opportunity to go eat out at one of our new favorite restaurants Michaelangelo’s
Today’s photo is one I made for a friend and neighbor for their sons Court of Honor announcements to get his Eagle Scout Award. Congratulations!
A couple of toys and a flashlight and it makes this.
Zoom Zoom. I like the motion of these motorcycles from my kids toy but with the flash it stopped the motion enough so the motorcycles are recognizable.
Today we spent a little time at one of my wife’s favorite places. Thanksgiving Point. Here is the view from our table where we enjoyed ice cream cones.
Today’s photo is of a vintage camera necklace that my lovely wife agreed to model for me.
It has been one of those days when my 365 photo was left until the end of the day. Here is what I made.
I like the detail on this fireplace screen/grate but wanted a little more than just the detail and the black color. So I set this up with a longer exposure and then moved the camera in a random fashion to create this photo.
Another visit to the Dr. for my son. This was taken in the waiting room as he was crawling all over me. This was great way to start a day of what became a not so great verdict on what he needs, surgery. i can’t complain too much though as it is minor, but still it was hard to hear when we were caught so off guard.
Notice he is wearing his home made Batman cape, and as a super hero he did amazingly well with all the tests that they did on him. So proud!
Some fun with video and a hoola hoop. He is so good at hoola hooping and looks so cute being so little still but being able to do something that he is so proud of. This video even comes with its own 4yr old soundtrack. Enjoy!
My kids love to play I spy. On our latest building session with Mega Blocks we created the perfect spy glass, or at least my 4 year old thought so.
I really like the bokeh in this photo. It came out just as I had envisioned it even though it was challenging to keep my little subject in the center (he had ants in his pants) and at the same time lining it up with my camera.
While my son was at his 4 yr dr. checkup I took the opportunity to go make a photograph of a cool old gas station. I like to think of this as a reflection of times gone by.
After getting some cool old fashioned suckers at a candy store I have to photograph one of them. Thank goodness for birthday money from Grandma!
With only minutes to spare to take a photo for today this is what I came up with. No time and no energy. Mama said there’ll be days like this,
There’ll be days like this Mama said…
Here is one of my cute nieces that we did an impromptu photo shoot of when they came to visit us. Love her eyes! Oh and the hand made outfit that her mom made her is great too!
Here is my son on his 4th birthday. Click the link below for more photos and info.
This is our sweet Maggie. She likes her friend Jedi which is a Schnauzer so much that she wanted a haircut like him even though she is a Yorkie. She looks so much smaller and cute but when she stands her ears up watch out ’cause they aren’t little Schnauzer ears, they look huge! She is so cute and I took some photos with her ears up but I like this photo the best. Isn’t she sweet.
Here is my son again after he talked me into making a new photo of him while jumping. Talk about crazy hair!
My kids wanted to have some action shots taken while they ran and jumped. Here they are, mid-air.
I love his hair in this one, so crazy!
And here they are jumping into each other right before they both crashed on the ground. Obviously they had a blast and wanted to do it again for days after these were taken.
Today my youngest son and I were out running errands and came across some gorgeous farms and livestock. I could actually post more than one photo today because I love 3 of them, but I will stick to 1. I love the colors and the mountains in the background. Enjoy!
Some decorations/gifts for my wife’s Matilda Jane Premier Show.
In an attempt to make my car “ready” for its emissions test (long story) me and my boys took a long drive down a desolate road. Here is the end of said road. It was snowing and dark clouds loomed overhead but it is always fun to spend time with my boys.
After a very tiring, non stop, trip to WPPI and Las Vegas all I wanted was my bed. Zzzzzzzz
